I wrote a short, 1-page article that compared "Congratulations" to the reissue of "Exile on Main St." because I had them both in my car at one time a few months ago and I was hearing similarities between the two albums. I submitted the article idea as an open submission to Rolling Stone Magazine, but I thought maybe you guys might like to have it for your scrapbook. If you'd like a copy, let me know...but my question relates to this and it is:

Throughout your touring, interviews and reactions from fans, have others brought up a similarity between MGMT and The Rolling Stones?

whats the 'scratch to reveal' thing on the new Congratulations album?

I heard that you're forced to change your style after your album was a failure. What happened? You once said that you don't like the sound of your debut and the fame you got. That's why you released your second album to show who you really are and have a kind of success you'd like to have. Now, you just give up on it, lost your confidence and give in to the record labels. And you just leave the expressing to them. What happened?

Are you letting the critics get to you about the quality of your latest album? Well I hope not because I would take Congratulations over Oracular Spectacular any day.

I don't know if you're screening questions about this or not, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I found a coin with pictures and numbers in my copy of Congratulations. I assumed it was something that came with every album to accompany the lyrics, but I later found that no one I know who bought the album got the coin in their copy.

Is it part of the '5 part puzzle' you mention on the back? Something that one out of five people get when they buy your album? Or did I win a trip to your chocolate factory?
